and despite liberal use of the word 'tonik' you can almost guarantee the abscence of 
any natural fibers (ie mohair) in the afore mentioned fabric. A fabric shop on the 
portobello road tried to convince me that some fabric they had was 'mohair' - they 
were reluctant to do a flame test on a sample which after much insisting turned the 
fabric into something resembling shrink-wrap. Tonik for 12 pounds a metre - yeah 
right...... It didn't even feel like mohair.

as sad as it may seem, you only get what you pay for. You simply cannot get a well 
made suit out of fine material for what the Merc charges. As long as you know this 
when you shop there it's fine - a bit like shopping at Ikea. It looks "kind of" good 
but is guaranteed to fall to bits and ultimately disappoint you.
