Hello,
Paul wrote....
"The track was originally called 'Wild Elephants' and can be found on
the budget-price (2 or 3 quid) 'Ready Steady boogaloo' CD. Features
other racks from the same artist and others."

I was going to mention this. Always struck me as odd that:
1. The track changed name
2. That it was, at one point, cheaper to buy the track on album than on
the darn single !

"The Italian Job soundtrack deleted? I thought it was available on CD -
tho' I'm probably wrong."
Anyway - you can order ANY CD from an HMV, Virgin Megastore etc. or
plenty bargains to be had on Amazon.co.uk."

As far as I know, the album has never been officially released on CD.
Album usually flaoting around on vinyl - it was repressed
semi-officially in Italy on vinyl.

Finally (yep, here`s the plug) for the best online music buying guide on
the web for the current mod scene, get yourself to the Northern Mods
site, where the recommendations of folks off the NM list, plus a few
people off here are available to view. And there`s a whole lot more on
there to keep you amused as the nights draw in !

Cheers,
David W.
