The best version (that I've heard) of Louie Louie is the original by
Richard Berry. The 'popular' version (which is played in Quadrophenia)
is by the Kingsmen.
There are literally hundreds of versions though so I've no idea which
version you've been hearing!
While on the subject........... the Troggs version has to be the WORST!
(And remember I *like* the Troggs!)
