indeed,  rape is an act of violence. ..yet in response to someone's inability to imagine paul weller as a "violent rapist" --i registered this statement as a physical commentary. therefore i mean it doesn't require physical injury. legally rape is forced penis/vaginal intercourse against the will or without consent of the other person.(that is NC law)  i apologize:  what i said in the last post is very poorly stated, and you are right. violent. violent. violent. now, about "date rape" no i'm not the one to "fall" or have misconceptions: rape starts when one person says no and the perpetrator continues. hence date/acquaintance rape is RAPE period. whether it includes much physical injury or not. if this means anything at all -- i am majoring in sociology and women's studies, and am working on the women to women project at NC State (talking to other women about risk management in relationships and rape/sexual assault prevention) so i wouldn't think of myself as your american media looney. for all my activism, reading, scholarship, i hope you don't think of me as a geraldo audience. anyway your concern is delightful. and the distinction is much needed. as for my whereabouts,  i am too sassy, too smart, and too stealth i suppose : )  or i am here going to school in raleigh you just don't really care i'll talk to you privately....lookout for something of SOUL-ar power soon.

bye modslit. i mean list.
