Don't know if this has already been clarified...
The song was originally written by Billy Roberts, who sold the songs copyright to Dino
Valenti, who later published the song under the name Chester Powers. Love and The
Leaves had minor hits with the song, The Byrds gave it more publicity by including it
on the "Fifth Dimension" LP, but all other versions were commercially beaten when
Hendrix got his grubby mits on it.
