a couple of the classic fred perry designs are pretty nice... however, the
ben sherman polos are much better, and fit much better... just get the black
one w/ yellow and red pipping... you know it looks good

Subject: all mod cons: a response to mods and Fred Perry

...maybe mod is a state of mind.
why would you engage in such a stupid (word choice?) conversation.
i suppose educating the uneducated is quite neccessary for change.
i also assume if they are the only "mod-identified" people in your area you
would want to get along and be recognized as a member of the community.
whether to join them or to lead : ) which is natural i suppose in agreement
with the mod identity. you are not wrong, however it would be soooo much
better if fred perrys were left out of the mod conscience simply because it
is BORING clothing article that is just as overrated as overpriced. it is a
consumer trap. and as a smart! person you should be able to quickly realize
that fifty dollars for a cotton t shirt is ridiculous. (not to say i don't
own any fred perrys as i have a few from back in the 800 days as
skingirl-not-so-extraordinaire or that i don't wear them occasionally like i
do with any other t shirts.) i do think the v neck sweaters are nice,
however as a diligent shopper i could always find sweaters of equal or
better quality for a fraction of the price at second hand/vintage/thrift
stores. not only that!... they are unique . logo's and name brands are often
time tacky. you don't want to be a walking advertisement, because you're not
a billboard, babe. but anyway explore the wonderful world of fabric and
design. and maybe before saying anything anytime soon, lead by example: look
better. (oh oh do you think i am encouraging elitism? oh well). talk to you
later.
