The first Os Mutantes LP from '68 is a brilliant fusion (as the liner notes say)

of The Beatles, Brazilian folk music, Psychedelia, Mamas & Papas, and choral
singing to name
just a few influences.  There is an originality and musicality that allows
repeated
listening without boredom.  I've only heard a little of their later stuff, and
yeah it didn't
do much for me...a bit too 70s.  But get this first self-titled LP reissued on
the Omplatten label.
