Judged on 4 or 5 replies? Answer: It's not, to some of us Elastica and
Blur are pretty 'traditional' (being just as much tribute bands to their
influences as any strictly mod scene act) but the chances of finding
common ground on the new things we do listen to is pretty minor (at
least if they're obscure and cutting-edge and undiscovered enough to be
the sort of things that a mod audience should admit to listening to - I
mean I still listen to Super Furries 'Radiator' and I think it's a great
modern creative psychedelic record, but it's from 1997!).
