Interesting point Dan. So are you saying that topics on the list should only
be aired if they are going to get the "reply traffic", even at the expense
of topics that are relevant to the basis of this list?
I think that`s the underlying problem here. Everyone posts most of their
interesting stuff to other lists that have splintered off in the past.
Modslist has become a kind of "cult of personality", where a lot of the
posts are aimed or about certain characters (no point throwing in names). Or
alternatively, it`s become a panel game, where we all site here waiting for
the next victim to stumble on and say something, probably innocently, then
we all dive in and have a pop !
Not criticising anyone in particular here, I`ve done it myself, so I`m in a
glass house anyway. But Modslist has become a kind of mutation of itself
these days, and yes, you would think twice about introducing topics that are
supposed to be relevant, because they would just get lost in the traffic of
wise cracks.
Modslist is still quite an entertaining list, but probably not for the
reasons it was set up.
