In regards with the Mooney Suzuki's everchanging albums, it is quite
different because they had quite different members back when the first stuff
came out, about two years ago I was their mailing list girl and whatnot, the
drummer was me best friend. Then they were already in their rock n roll
niche. They were the best live show I had seen, that is why I have about
1000 (literally) pictures of them. Although I did go and see them a bit back
at Brownies and they have even upped their stage antics to having tyler on
sam's shoulders, or maybe the other way around. The one who knocked your
friend on the head was undoubtedly Tyler, he loves to mesh with the crowd.
Thankfully at the show, when he got on our table and knocked over all the
empty glasses , we pretended trhey were all full, SO mooney suzuki got us all
free drinks.
Although I refuse to go see them now because I am not partial to the
lead singer who will remain nameless. But otherwise they still do the same
stuff they did three years ago and it is still a crowd pleaser, even their
music holds up, sam writes good songs i give him that. He used to be in 2
Skinee J's.
As for A Hard Day's Night, I saw it last night at the film forum and
it was amazing as usual. My favorite line is "There is a surge of girls out
there", and John says "Oh please sir, may I have a girl to surge with
please?". Hehe, cute.
did someone mention the band, The Secret Machine's before on the
list? If you did, what was it about? This band is so super super
fantastique.
Sincerely, Chantal "I win with nail clippers" Claret
