Indeed, it was very bizarre. I always fail to understand people who say
'i've been to Paris - I spent the weekend in EuroDisney.' It's a
make-believe version of America filled with Brits and Germans! (like
Paris...!)
Hey, are there any mod rides in DisneyWorld? Perhaps we should build our own
'ModWorld' theme park! You could have Main Street USA turned into Carnaby
Street (which is just as fake anyway...), 'Davy Love Mountain', which is
like Space Mountain but you go around inside Davy's digestive system... then
you could have a scooter Wall of Death... and Typhoon Lagoon is like
Brighton, but with waves crashing over the greasy spoon caffs. And
MoDisneyMGM is basically a big re-creation of Quadrophenia. and the shops
sell classic 60's crash helmets with 'mouse ear' motif stuck 'tastefully'
all over them. and even better is the illuminated procession in the evening,
with a 1000 chromed up scoots crawling along at 3 miles per hour weighed
down by tonnes of lamps (which actually have to work...), and live bands on
massive illuminated floats - The Pills on one, The Nick Rossi Set on
another, perhaps Trevor French and whoever he's in a band with this week
playing on another. and if we're lucky, Edwin Starr as well wearing a jacket
covered in lightbulbs.... and what with the large number of mod girls with
black bobs, finding someone to dress up as Snow White won't be a
challenge...

OK, i know this sounds bizarre... but it's been a bit quiet on here
lately...
