Alright Helen! I haven't heard the term "punks in suits" since I moved
from the LA area, as that was the term coined for the Southern
California scene! I agree with you about the revival period as I've
never been much of a fan of a lot of those bands. But, I give a band
like the Purple Hearts credit for even doing a covering Bowie ("Can't
Help Thinking About Me") and the Equals ("The Guy Who Made Her A Star")
when others were scrambling for that Small Faces or Who cover. Hell,
half the bands dropped their image after awhile, but kept their names,
i.e. the Lambrettas, who looked and sounded like Kaja Goo Goo when their
second record came out and should have changed their name to the Honda
Rivas.
