Modernism was more than music. Actually it wasn't really music, maybe modern
jazz. I guess you can say that Soul arose out of jazz. The smooth silky
stylings mixing in with the ruff and ready blues. But ask a design student
what MOD is and he'll tell you a concept started in the mid 20's and got
popular in the 50's and 60's. I guess I am saying that MOD is an aesthetic. I
guess thats what I am saying.
