Hell no, you could probably get a Hollywood film deal out of an idea
like that. Ironically, it's also a bit of a constant in most fascist
philosophies.
The fact that the rest of us don't get excited at the prospect of
violence/sweaty men jumping around at clubs/shows doesn't mean we've
managed to avoid it our whole lives, just that we have different
priorities. There are plenty of people on the UK mod and soul scenes
that can certainly handle themselves in a fight (especially amongst the
old guard who had to survive plenty in the 80s) but you rarely see any
violence - I'd even say there's a disapproval of it, because people
don't want trouble with increasingly hard to get hold of venues.
