For all the hassle smokers get, such as this idea of bannng outdoor smoking in California - how much crap comes out of the exhaust of all those 'people carriers' and other enormous cars that Americans so love to drive about in? (tho' perhaps not the people on this list..) Smokers are the new social pariahs. I was in an airport bar once and if you wanted to smoke, you had to sit at a special table that sucked in all the naughty smoke. The bar was completely empty apart from smokers, with only one of these tables, so there were about 6 of us all huddling about this sodding table. They make you feel like a social outcast - which will only attract the 'slim shady' generation to the joys of the Marlboro Light. But that really is enough about all that. to return to the origin of this thread - that Mr Secular smokes to complete his French look - in France, non-smokers in bars and restaurnts are given the worst tables hidden at the back.
