Due to the unfortunate timing of the Waverley Hall Hotel's (Clacton) recent closure Whitsun Bank Holiday's events has
shifted location to the Capitol. Our apologies go to those who had already booked accomodation in Clacton, we only found
out about the Waverley closing as a result of friends ringing the hotel to book accomodation. We were the last people on thier
list to contact it seems, unless of course it slipped their mind. An alternative venue was sought in Clacton but with no real decent
alternatives forthcoming and Whitsun approaching fast the sensible thing to do was move the event to London at this late stage.
We welcome BRIAN AUGER to the Whitsun line-up. On Sunday's allnighter doors open
at the earlier time of 9pm at an exciting new London venue with 450 capacity, large dancefloor, air conditioning and wicked
soundsystem. The dynamic BRIAN AUGER takes
up the stool at 10.30PM and will be grinding out on the old C3 Hammond some of the finest moments of his career including
gems like ''Indian
rope man'', ''Black Cat'', Read Beans & Rice'', ''Light my Fire'',
''Tiger'', ''Fool Killer'', ''Green Onions 65''
''Kiko'' LIVE!!!!!!!!, the list goes on and on. Whatever you do don't
miss this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Saturday daytime we are reviving the old London Run of the 60's and 80's meeting outside O'Neils bar top of Carnaby St at
1pm followed by Scooter competition at 1.30 and a cruise around London taking in the sights of the City and turning a few
heads along the way, eventually rolling up at the afternoon venue in Camden where we have two of Europes finest Mod Bands.
The Sat lunchtime event kicks of at 1PM at the Undersolo Club on Inverness St, Camden (Next door to the Good Mixer).
On stage at 3 PM the EMBROOKS back from touring and playing
all over the World including the USA. The second LP was reviewed a couple of issues ago and has been raved about in media
circles. These two guys and girlie are surely now one of the UKs top
authentic sounding Mod Bands who
look every inch the part. And at 4.30PM another band from mainland Europe that will
capture your imagination: Italy's
no1 Mod band the VICTORIANS consisting of four faces from the Italian
scene who play a great mixture of
covers and originals including Mike Proctors ''Mr Commuter'', the
Attacks ''Anymore than I do'' to name but a few + DJ's & Stalls.
Sat night will be the legendary Mousetrap Mod Allnighter with the beat basement and soul loft from 10pm-6am.
