Tell him to check out: www.villagevoice.com. and click on the classified
section. They have listings for apartments, shares, sublets, etc. Unless
you know someone who has a place they're trying to sublet, that's your
best bet in finding apartments.
Inside tip: Apartment hunting in NYC is a challenging experience.
Everyone wants to live here and there are too few apartments available.
I wouldn't limit oneself to finding something close to a subway stop.
But there are subway stations everywhere in this town. No need to be
concerned about that.
