Went out and picked up a copy of 'The Chords On The BBC' yesterday and I have to say it's pretty good. Recordings consist of two Peel Sessions one from July '79 and the other from March '80, and another session also from March '80. Most of the songs are pretty familiar - "Now It's Gone", "Maybe Tomorrow", "Something's Missing", etc., but some of the arrangements are slightly different from their studio counterparts which is a plus. The bonus here is their version of the Who's "Circles" in which they cover the Shel Talmy produced version of the song that ended up on the American 'My Generation' LP hence the different lyric on the last verse. I think '79 collectors will get a kick out this one. I was never a big fan of the Chords, but this one is a nice little package. Sad that it only consists of eight songs, but at least they got to do a radio session unlike alot of their peers at the time.
