my billy boy used to use a child's version of relaxer for african hair. it worked
really well. you can only do it about once every two or three months but it will give
you that oh-so-desired Rod the Mod hair do.

Many mod guys and girls use flatteners (sort of a flat curling iron) to get
their hair to lay properly and do what you want it to do. I have similar hair
(very thick and prone to being wavy) and with a flattener I can get it
perfectly how I want it.
