You know, I'm sick of anglophile jerks telling me I'm not mod cause I don't look like Keith Moon circa 1966. Those British kids were kind of taking a cue from American pop-soul culture anyway right? I wear tasteful buttonless shirts (generally devoid of print) all the time, and thats alright. Most anything ought to be alright really; well, not blur shirts. 'Unless those Mogwai ones count. You know, "Blur is Shite" and all of that. Question: just play around on uppers.net. I'm sure you can't really get away with citing that stuff, but it's got links and such. Isn't there something of more content than mod-culture to do a dissertation on? Maybe mod-era art, or fashion, or the geographic radiation of R&B. I hope this isn't a graduate dissertation; you'll be eaten alive; do some research or something. thaddeus
