Do these untalented tubbos have a webpage? I usually like to look at a
band before hearing them, so I can form the proper opinion. Snarf.
I, too, am curious in hearing Summer's list of bad "80s Midwestern bands
trying to sound 60s and failing." Maybe she's referring to Doug and the
Slugs, ahehaha, I actually chuckled out loud as I typed that. Certainly
she's not speaking of The Funseekers, one of the finest bands to ever
birth from our country's midsection.
I am serious about my webpage inquiry, though.

This was the only place I could find images of the group, I may be able
to find more, but check this out in the meantime to catch a glimpse of
the Organisation:

PS: I doubt she would be referring to the Funseekers, at least I hope
not!

Just had a thought here...Wasn't Graham Bond (of the Graham Bond
ORGANIZATION.....ahem) an older (not-teenage), chubby, balding guy? But
they were (are) held in rather high regard amongst the mod crowd right?
How can that be? They don't look like me, how can I like them?

What about Dick Heckstall-Smith? He looked like he could be a
grandfather back in 1964...completely bald with thick horn rimmed
glasses, but no matter how motley the Graham Bond Organisation looked,
there's no denying how great they were! Listen to "Live At Klooks
Kleek" for proof of that.

Or (belaboring the obvious) Pete Townsend. Christ, what a honker!
Okay, I hope the point is made. To wit, "you can't judge a book by
looking at its cover."
Thanks for the link to the Organisation pix.
Pop quiz, hotshots: who covered the song mentioned in the quote above on
the Pebbles "Roots of Mod" comp?

Sorry, sent that too quick without clarifying my quiz question:
Who covered a song by the artist who does the song mentioned in the
quote below on the Pebbles 6- Roots of Mod comp? Bonus point if you know
the answer without having to blow th dust off the record cover to read
it.
Never mind, the NyQuil's kicking in now. I'll be on my way.
