Hello,
Just been working through recent posts, thankfully not all roller disco
spectaculars.
Just a few queries:
"Ladies mod coat" on Ebay: - a bloke called Eddie sells it, and a bloke
called Freddie buys it. Is there a "Transvestite Mod" movement going on that
we don't know about?
"Sound" Website - why have you got a picture of Robbie Fowler on your
website intro page? Is he now a regular on the scooter scene? I don't know
of a scooterist list, but usually worth trying is scooterist.net...except
bizarrely it seems to have disappeared! Oh well. You've got a link to
Warrior on your site, if there's a decent scootering list, they'll know
about it.
"Antibalas" - is that the correct url for your site? It goes to a world
music band's site. I'm presuming there must be another band of the same name
using a similar url.
The "flash file" saving: Search your hard drive after viewing for that
file - probably cached on your machine.
Oh, and bearing in mind this list's prime purpose is to blatantly plug any
old shit, mod or not, please visit modculture, you might like it. If not,
nothing lost, I don't charge admission.
Cheers,
David W.

Well said David,
If I want to read about rollerskating and disco music then I would have
joined a Disco Yahoo List.
This Modslist is not the place for your disco adverts.....find a relevant
list to post your adverts.
Nothing personal about disco but this is the wrong place for it.
P.S. - How on earth can people dance on rollerskates ?!

Hello,

I think most of this pissing list is messages in error. But I think yours
takes the biscuit. Admittedly, the definition of "what is mod" is something
that seems to differ between countries, even regions, but I really can't
imagine why having a "Skate and dance to Funky Disco" is anything more than
a bad 80s throwback. You'll be watching "Footloose" next and telling us it's
a mod cine classic!
Thankfully there's a web only option, so the need to wade through this
crap is kept to a mimimum. But when I occasionally (like now) want to see
the "wood from the trees", it's damn hard working through all these so
called mod events. Sadly, anything worth reading is usually missed.
So...how about a 20 second wait before pressing the "send" button, and
consider of the majority of us really want to pay "$10. admission includes
Skate Rental; your own skates or rollerblades welcome!"
I guess the conclusion would be a big fat no.

I've been asked to pass this VERY important message on.
No doubt you will ALL be there.....No Excuses!!
Hello Everyone
Just a little note to let you know that following the success of our
first blues and soul review in December of last year, we will be
putting on the second "SHOTGUN" in London on 6 April 2002. (details
below).
We are looking forward to another belting night of uncompromising R&B
and Soul and we've managed to put together a DJ line up which is fully
capable of providing the goods.
Very much hope you'll be able to make it.
cheers
Gavin
