The FAQ on CPAN suggests to come here to discuss namespace issues before submitting new modules, so here I am.
I'd like to submit the module Data::Config, which use is to read generic configuration files. The syntax can be completely changed to fit any and all needs. It support simple assignments with multi-lines value and nested lists, and has very few restrictions on the data. Its object oriented API is compatible with modules like CGI or HTML::Template, and can be safely associate()d with this last one.
I use it with HTML::Template to create my web sites, and also my Japanese to French dictionary. It's also used in my company in one or two projects. It may also be used by a few other people but I can't tell how many.
