But modules in core with a dual life are maintained by their CPAN authors
and the current stable CPAN version is merged into the core.

The module's documentation should say where to report bugs. However, I'd
not expect everyone out there to know precisely which module is maintained
by whom, so reporting bugs with perlbug for modules distrubuted with the
core is reasonable. [Whereas using perlbug to attempt to report bugs in
non-core modules is not, but you all know this]

I'm not sure what the specific position is at present with the maintenance
of Damian's modules in the core. An example I do know about is CGI.pm -
we're passing all bug reports over to its author Lincoln Stein, who is
actively maintaining it on CPAN.
