(Normally I wouldn't send a mail such as this, since I'm quite capable of telling myself "send a patch or stop whining" and therefore don't need twelve other people to do so on a public mailing list that reaches probably hundreds of people, but I didn't want David's useful suggestion to get missed and filed under "some guy complaining".)
