I've been trying to get ahold of Rob Brown (PAUSE ID BBB) regarding some
patches to Net::Server for about a month and a half now. The most
important thing I need patched actually dates back to May 2002, and is in
the Net::Server bug tracker from Feb 2004:
http://rt.cpan.org/NoAuth/Bug.html?id=5450
I e-mailed [EMAIL PROTECTED] on May 4th, and again on May 19th along with
[EMAIL PROTECTED], an address I found in one of his modules, and haven't
gotten any type of response.
I'd really like to get a version with this patch rolled and out on CPAN,
and I'd be interested in taking a look through some of the other
outstanding bugs to try and get them cleaned up as well, but I certainly
don't want to fork something as major as Net::Server.
Does anyone have a known good contact address for Rob, or have any
suggestions for other lists I should look for him on? He doesn't seem to
be completely AWOL, as he uploaded a revision to one of his modules as
recently as March of this year, but Net::Server hasn't been updated since
Feb 2004.
If I can't get in touch with him in a reasonable timeframe, is it possible
to get the maintainership for this module forcibly transferred to me?
What further steps should I take toward that end?
Thanks,
Tim Wilde
