Just the odd comment dropped here and there.
The only thing *I* would recommend over passthrough is none. The
recent
CPANPLUS updates (thanks to David, Chris, and Jos) make it unnecessary
anyway.
I'm happy to drop it if all the tool are up-to-date. Or just keep it
for those modules that have no extra build code, anyway (most of mine
are pretty simple).
We're not yet to the point where older clients with an incorrectly set
prefer_installer are going to be automatically fixed by updating.
But,
I didn't see the benefit in Makefile.PL compatibility several years
ago, let alone now.
