rationale:
Rserve is a robust and widely adopted open-source server interface
to the R statistical computation platform. Clients have been written
in a number of languages, but until now there has been no Perl
client available.
Other Perl modules which allow interaction with the R platform
require R to be running on the same host as the invoking programme.
A client-server architecture allows for more flexibility in
configuration, and offers better scalability and security options.
The Statistics rootlevel seems an appropriate place for this to
live, and RserveClient is descriptive of the functionality of the
module.
