why:
I would like to upload a new distribution providing a Perl
interface to git-annex. The distribution includes a module,
Git::Annex, instantiations of which represent git repositories in
which `git annex init` has been run. It also includes a script,
annex-review-unused, which allows the user to interactively process
the output of the `git annex unused` command, by running useful `git
log` commands on the user's behalf. annex-review-unused uses methods
from Git::Annex.
I am the maintainer of the git-annex package in Debian (see
<https://tracker.debian.org/git-annex>), so I know git-annex quite
well. I've also checked with upstream about occupying the Git::Annex
namespace, and he's okay with it.
I certainly anticipate uploading other work to CPAN in the future.
