why:
For a number of years, I have been thinking about contributing some
modules to cpan. Namely, network protocol-ish code.
Also, over recent years, I have seen a number of modules looking
for maintainers, I maybe willing to help out in that regard.
All that being said, small steps at first, I feel somewhat out of
my depth :)
