This is a new approach to Graham Barr's work on SASL authentication
in Perl. It is an interface to the already existing shared library
libsasl.so written in C. The authentication mechanisms already
available in shared library format will all immediately become
available to the Perl programmer, without having to wait for those
mechanisms to be ported to Perl.
