The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:

  modid:       Text::Netstring
  DSLIP:       adpfp
  description: Create and manipulate netstrings
  userid:      JRAFTERY (James Raftery)
  chapterid:   11 (String_Lang_Text_Proc)
  communities:
    http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~lecter/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi

  similar:

  rationale:

    A 'netstring' is a Dan Bernstein string representation used in his
    QMTP and QMPC protocols.

    Text::Netstring seemed at home under 'Text' because it is similar
    in spirit to, say, Text::Soundex, Text::CSV or Text::Tabs.

    The distinction between 'Text' and 'String' isn't very clear to me
    so I'm happy for anybody to point out how wrong I might be :)

    In a related note, I've submitted a request to register Net::QMTP
    too if anybody has a chance to review it and/or point out any
    problems.

    Thanks, james
