The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:

  modid:       WWW::Blog::Parse
  DSLIP:       idpOp
  description: Extract info from common blog output formats
  userid:      MCEGLOWS (Maciej Ceglowski)
  chapterid:   15 (World_Wide_Web_HTML_HTTP_CGI)
  communities:

  similar:
    WWW::Blog::Identify

  rationale:

    I decided to separate functionality - WWW::Blog::Identify will
    continue to just identify HTML pages as candidate blogs, and
    WWW::Blog::Parse would contain heuristics to parse known weblog
    formats into useful data: post, date, blogroll, comments, etc.

    In submitting WWW::Blog::identify, I had assumed it would do all
    the work of identification + parsing. This setup seems cleaner.

  enteredby:   MCEGLOWS (Maciej Ceglowski)
  enteredon:   Thu Jul 10 20:07:55 2003 GMT

The resulting entry would be:

WWW::Blog::
::Parse idpOp Extract info from common blog output formats MCEGLOWS
