I was sorry to hear about Mr. Kobes' passing. He will be missed. I use the Apache2::Autocomplete module and I plan on using the Apache2::Ajax module in some upcoming projects.
If no one more well-known wants to take on these modules I will be glad to do so. I was taught to always take on an additional project, so I'd also be willing to take on CGI::Apache2::Wrapper. My PAUS name is AYOUNG -- Alan Young
