The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:

  modid:       IO::Socket::DNS
  DSLIP:       adprp
  description: IO::Socket like interface using DNS queries.
  userid:      BBB (Rob Brown)
  chapterid:   21 (File_Handle_Input_Output)
  communities:

  similar:
    Net::DNS IO::Socket

  rationale:

    It goes under IO::Socket::* because it's a tied handle much like
    IO::Socket::SSL. Data can be read and written like normal sockets.
    It's called "DNS" because it just uses Net::DNS on the backend. It
    emulates a connected I/O TCP socket interface across DNS, which is
    actually a connectionless UDP protocol.

  enteredby:   BBB (Rob Brown)

The resulting entry would be:

IO::Socket::
::DNS adprp IO::Socket like interface using DNS queries. BBB
