why:
I'm planning on contributing a module that will facilitate the
parsing of Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) documents.
XBRL is an international standard for exchanging financial
information. For example, the US Securities and Exchange Commission
requires all publicly traded firms filing mandatory documentation
with them to provide that information in XBRL. While XBRL is based
on XML, the standard is so complex that it requires additional logic
to render it useful. The code is available on github here:
