two scripts and four packages (which extend perl/tk widget sets
into more complex functions).
One script will index an entire file system tree allowing rapid
"google-like" searches with a perl/tk front end. The other script
will allow regular expression driven updates to many files at once
(i.e. like a batch edit only with a nice perl/tk front end).
