I'm currently working with the author of
Business::OnlinePayment::Litle to create a new module to strip out
sensitive data before it is accidentally logged.
The idea is that you can pass in a set of regular expressions and
the module will override warn/die/carp to make sure your values do
not get logged to disk. Instead a suitable replacement value will be
logged.
