The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:

  modid:       Module::Cooker
  DSLIP:       SdpOp
  description: Create module skeletons via Template
  userid:      BOFTX (Jim Bacon)
  chapterid:   3 (Development_Support)
  communities:
    Perl Monks

  similar:
    Module::Maker, Module::Starter, Distribution::Cooker

  rationale:

    There are other tools that create skeleton modules for CPAN, but
    each of them has drawbacks as well as strengths. Most notably, with
    the exception of Distribution::Cooker, it is tedious at best to
    customize the templates used with creating a sub-class of the given
    tool. Module::Starter::Plugin::Template offers a way around this,
    but it is still not possible to ADD files to the skeleton without a
    sub-class.

    Distribution::Cooker addresses those issues, but uses ttree to do
    so, and that presents its own problems with the ttree config file.

    Module::Cooker strives to remove the drawbacks of each of the above
    while providing a tool that adheres to DWIM as much as possible.
