The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List: modid: Module::Cooker DSLIP: SdpOp description: Create module skeletons via Template userid: BOFTX (Jim Bacon) chapterid: 3 (Development_Support) communities: Perl Monks
similar: Module::Maker, Module::Starter, Distribution::Cooker rationale: There are other tools that create skeleton modules for CPAN, but each of them has drawbacks as well as strengths. Most notably, with the exception of Distribution::Cooker, it is tedious at best to customize the templates used with creating a sub-class of the given tool. Module::Starter::Plugin::Template offers a way around this, but it is still not possible to ADD files to the skeleton without a sub-class. Distribution::Cooker addresses those issues, but uses ttree to do so, and that presents its own problems with the ttree config file. Module::Cooker strives to remove the drawbacks of each of the above while providing a tool that adheres to DWIM as much as possible. enteredby: BOFTX (Jim Bacon) enteredon: Thu Dec 5 08:44:44 2013 UTC The resulting entry would be: Module:: ::Cooker SdpOp Create module skeletons via Template BOFTX Thanks for registering, -- The PAUSE PS: The following links are only valid for module list maintainers: Registration form with editing capabilities: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=add_mod&USERID=70f00000_90144c3e5cc7e4a8&SUBMIT_pause99_add_mod_preview=1 Immediate (one click) registration: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=add_mod&USERID=70f00000_90144c3e5cc7e4a8&SUBMIT_pause99_add_mod_insertit=1 Peek at the current permissions: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?pause99_peek_perms_by=me&pause99_peek_perms_query=Module%3A%3ACooker
