Dear PAUSE administrators, I am trying to get a critical error in DateTime::Calendar::Christian fixed. This module makes use of a deprecated DateTime interface that was recently removed. This module was written by Eugene van der Pijll and last released on July 28 2003.
On September 23 I filed RT ticket https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=118050 against this module, but have received no response. I have tried to make contact with him several times, and in various ways. My efforts (all unsuccessful) are documented at http://blogs.perl.org/users/tom_wyant/2016/10/looking-for-eugene-van-der-pijll.html. I have also cloned and patched the module; the clone is at https://github.com/trwyant/perl-DateTime-Calendar-Christian On the strength of the above, would you be willing to grant co-maintainership of DateTime::Calendar::Christian to WYANT? My plans if I receive it are to make an immediate release fixing the critical problem, and subsequent releases to fix minor bugs (or things I perceive to be such), flesh out a few gaps in the DateTime functionality, and add author tests, fixing whatever they uncover.
