why:
Been working with perl for a twenty-five years, and over the years
have run into areas where I'd like to fork a project or extend
something in a more OS-specific way. The motivator right now is to
provide a new DateTime::TimeZone::Local module for Solaris, as the
OS has an additional way to configure time zones which is not
currently covered. Focus on Solaris-specific modules would probably
be the initial focus (assuming I can focus these days)
