why:
I have an idea for a general-purpose binary search algorithm that I
would like to see if I could publish as Sort::Search on CPAN. This
can address various limitations of existing CPAN modules that
implement binary search, such as List::BinarySearch and
List::MoreUtils that do not support searching on sub-arrays, or (in
my use case) searching with respect to an arbitrary predicate on an
integer range. The module is not fully written yet but I have
implemented a basic prototype and I think it is quite promising....
