One thing you can do to work around the hardcoded field names in the extended database
is to create a view that reads in data from several tables and presents it to
ModusMail as a single table.
This also allows for a better storage and normalization of the database according to
your requirements. For example, you can take default domain properties and store these
in a single table. Now when a domain is added it can be linked to these default
parameters. The view will link the two together allowing ModusMail to read the
necessary information. If your like me and have several thousand domains to deal with
this reduces storage by allowing all the domains to reference a single row in the
default settings table. This also allows you to create a setup where by you have a
series off mail plans which can be tied back to your billing system, allowing you to
create a generic link between your billing system and the Modus database.
I am in the process off thrashing through the Extended Database for the upcoming v3
and will post my SQL Database layout for others to see once v3 is release.

Good morning,
To answer M. Ellison's question, the generic ODBC database still supports
the flexible column names for the Mailbox, Username, Domain and Password,
same as it did in the past. The Extended DB still has hardcoded fields.
The bottom line is that specific part of ModusMail/VOPMail has NOT been
modified, except for some fields added to the Extended DB. No functionality
has been lost.
Regards,
