[Modus] Modusgate 3 and WebAdmin

...getting anyone to authenticate.
I'm not sure how the SMTP Auth feature works, and I can't find any 
specifics on what it is supposed to authenticate against.  (FWIW, The 
manual mentions a "Primary mailserver", but I have no idea what it is 
in reference to.)

Has anyone successfully configured the new WebAdmin portion of
ModusGate 3?
By the looks of it, it should be a great addition to the functionality
of ModusGate, allowing end users to configure their own settings.
No matter what I try, I am unable get the authentication portion to
work.
Is this new feature only limited to customers who use Modusgate in
conjunction with ModusMail or Exchange? (There are a few items in the
manual alluding to this)
Any ideas?
