Should we also disable our Protocol Filter
(spamflt0.txt)?
Thanks,

Hi Vince,
My
recommendation is to not use any existing Custom Scripts except for those that
by pass further filtering (ie. Your exclude filters). You should instead write
filters based on what gets through remembering to send the original SPAM to [EMAIL PROTECTED] so that they can
modify the new SCA to filter those in the future.
We to have found
Modus 3 to be less resource intensive, although at times during the Alpha /
Beta some releases had resource issues. Vircom did a great job listening to
the testers and getting these issues fixed, and kudos to them for all the
effort.
Regards,
Suneel.

Thanks, i thought the SCA engine was an offshoot of SA.
It's just that in my quarantine after 12 hours most of what was caught was
caught by my custom filters. then I lost the ability to look at the vircom
native filters and found many caught by 'miscellananeous'. I'm not sure i
understand what that is, but thought that something went wrong with our
install.
would you say it is better to not use the custome scripts or
to continue to use them or to start with a fresh batch of scripts based on
what gets thru now.
by the way, i think that this new program is
actually less resource intensive that any previous that i have run in the
modus line.
thanks vince
