I do agree the purge deleted items has caused some
headache. I think just the normal standard of asking are you sure you want
to delete the following items (yes/no) would work. And I also think the
web look needs a facelift, but not a top priority for me. I would like a
choice of a couple different templates for web mail layout that we could play
with.

update
deciphering of log as a report would be great if
something more graphical could be provided. but a webmail feature change that
would make things much easier and more like large webmail providers would be
to get rid of the delete/purge hassel that causes confusion. just let a
message be deleted from the server when it is deleted.
my very difficient 2 cents worth.
thanks

I would like to take
the opportunity given by a comment in this message (Is there a function or
report to get this?) to voice my opinion for features to be included in the
next release of Modus. Since you all have done such a great job on
the spam engine I am really not sure that it could be improved all that
much. I guess going from Crystal Ball v1 to v2 might be cool.
;) We will just have to see what efforts the spammers have in store
for us over the next 12 months. Any way, I would like to see the
following things considered for the next release of Modus.
1. Server
statistics reporting. Many of the third party spam filtering services
(Postini & Mail Armory) that I am familiar with have all kinds of
statistics reporting built in. The info is displayed in tables
& graphs in a web interface. I know there have been many
instances where folks on these lists have asked about some kind of
statistics. I am not sure what all would be involved to make this
happen but I think it would be a major step in providing a complete Email
server solution. I know we would all love to check a web interface to
show how many email messages were received, how many were blocked by the
RBLs, how many were delivered to the mailbox, how many were sent to the QT
as attach, viri, and spam. I truly hope Vircom gives this some
SERIOUS consideration.
2. I hope this does not offend anyone at Vircom
as that is not my intent. I would like to see a facelift of the
console interface as well.
3. I would also like to see a major face
lift of the web interface. Something more along the look & feel of
Yahoo, Hotmail, or Squirrel Mail would be nice. I am sure this will
be debated all around.
I am sure there are other things that could be
added as well. At this time I think the spam engine is doing a great
job. I would like to see Vircom focus their efforts on the next round
to statistics and look & feel. Those are just my
points.

Mine is showing sequence number 5060. Looks like mine is fine.
Last updated this morning.
One question for Michal (or someone
who knows), you say "Pay particular attention to your catch-rate". What do
you mean? Is there a function or report to get
this?
Thanks, Steve Easley
