biggest problem with sql authentication is that the users can not be
created
using webadmin. We like to allow users to maintain their own domains and
this is not possible with sql authentication

We use registry based authentication as we found it to be MUCH faster
when
we were initially load testing Modus.
If you have no need to change then I wouldn't bother. Just make sure
you
regularly backup the Modus config and/or registry.
