This too is an old problem, I reported this quite awhile back. You can get around this by installing the webadmin as a subdirectory under your Webmail website (I used "settings" for the virtual directory). Because I didn't feel like having most of my customers change their IE default permissions, this work-around works fine ... with the exception of the Webadmin erroring out after a certain amount of time and requiring an IIS restart (reported this too, told they're working on it).

In the long run, if you have the horsepower, your better off installing webadmin and webmail to the Modus Server. I'm told it all works reliably in that configuration.

Subject: [Modus] fix: WebMail -> WebAdmin integration question

This problem turned out to be due to IE blocking cookies for the webadmin site.

A note to others: If you're having problems getting to the webadmin from within webmail, be sure that a software firewall/browser/something else isn't blocking the webadmin cookies, especially if it's a secondary https site.

I am guessing that is has to do with the fact that the credentials are not being passed between the servers.  I am not sure of that nor am I sure on how to fix it.

Subject: [Modus] WebMail -> WebAdmin integration question

I am connecting to the WebAdmin application by setting the Webmail URL in the Modus admin console, then logging into Webmail and clicking 'Settings'.

First, should I be prompted for my username and password again when clicking Settings?

Second, assuming I should be prompted again, once I log into the application successfully, it immediately returns me to the Webadmin login screen. If I incorrectly log in (wrong password, invalid user, etc.) I get an error stating so, but if I log in correctly, it just loops to prompting me for the username/password again. Anybody experience this?

The webadmin application works properly if I access it from outside WebMail. Also, I am using SSL, so my webmail address is https://server1 and my WebAdmin URL is https://server2, located on another web server. Any suggestions appreciated.
