I don't think it would be possible to get the statistics from the MDB
version of the Quarantine due to file locking. You would almost
certainly want to move to SQL at some point and I would suggest doing it
earlier rather than later. 

I'm hoping that Vircom will default to SQL instead off MDB files in the
next version, and use an optimized Connection Provider with stored
procedures as that would improve performance. The MSDE (Microsoft SQL
Developer Edition) is freely redistributable and hence can be included
with their installation. This developer edition does have some
limitations (like a 2Gb database size), but is easily upgradeable to
either Standard or Enterprise editions.

On a side-note, the next version of MS SQL will allow C# and VB.Net to
be used in Stored Procedures.

Can you do a spam counter on a web site if you aren't running extended
sql database, and just using the default store?
