I do not know where else to post this as
my VOPMail listgroups all appear to have changed to Modusmail, so sorry if this
is the wrong place, but I have a need for
assistance.
If we
have a domain setup in VopMail say domainname.com.au with a Synonyms of
domainname.com
And I
wanted to remove domainname.com.au and keep domainname.com how would i do
it?
i have
done the following in attempts to get this to work.
1)
Removed the Synonyms of domainname.com
2)
Renamed domainname.com.au to domainname.com in the Registry
3)
Re-Created Synonyms for domainname.com.au
this
basically mirrors the previous configuration and everything still works fine.
How ever when ever i remove the Synonyms of domainname.com.au the users are
unable to login to the mailbox, i recreate the domainname.com.au synonyms and it
works. i can only assume its something to do with user account based on domain
in registry.
one
other way may be to remove the synonyms of domainname.com and Create a new
domain called domainname.com and select all the mailboxes in domainname.com.au
and use the move feature and move them into domainname.com and then remove the
domainname.com.au from the system
